Coming of age during the plague of Reagan and Bush, watching capitalism gun down democracy, it had this funny effect on me, I guess.
-Ani Difranco, "Your Next Bold Move"

1. He was never actually elected in the  first place, and has, therefore, been illegally occupying the White House, thanks to the Supreme Court's corrupt decision in 2000. G.W. Bush lost the popular vote in 2000.

4. You actually care about the children who were left behind. George Bush does not. He has left poor children and children with disabilities behind. He left all children behind where education is concerned.

Resources:

Our Children Left Behind read about IDEA and how the President who claimed to "leave no child behind" has left behind all children with disabilities and special needs, and why some parents are unhappy about that

President George W Bush Blocked the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child which nearly every industrialized nation in the world has signed, which would give children a document stating they have fundamental human rights, because.....well no good reason was ever given for that

Bush does not care about poor children and his record shows that. Read this article by Molly Ivins.

6. You are against the death penalty.

7. You care about your reproductive rights. The Bush administration, if it stays in power, can, and likely will attempt to reverse Roe V. Wade and make abortion illegal in the United States, taking us back to the dark ages of coat hangers.

15. You have a brain and can read. You read this far. You are too intelligent to allow an unelected, warmongering imbecile rule your country and tarnish the planet earth. You owe it to yourself, as proof that you have some ounce of self-esteem, to register to vote and vote for someone other than Bush.

20. Bush has never even had a real job, much less a career, much less has he ever been qualified for any position in the government at all. He has absolutely no qualifications to be President of the United States.

Resources:

The Resume of George W. Bush

21. You do not like nepotism. If you apply for a job, you do not think the company should hire the son of the company's owner instead of hiring you, even if that son has no qualifications. G.W. Bush became President only because his father was President.

22. The United States is comprised of over 250,000 people, half of whom are female, many of whom have skin colors that do not happen to be white, and many of whom are not Christian. Yet, every single President we have ever had has been a white, Christian (and affluent) male. Is this fair? Of course not. Is a woman going to be elected in 2004. As we have seen, obviously not. But don't vote someone into office who is the greater of two evils, and could not care less about women's rights, racism, and is against affirmative action. This man himself has benefited from a reverse  form of affirmative action. It  got him into the Oval Office.

23. You care about affirmative action, and don't believe that people of color from low-income areas should not have an equal opportunity to receive the  same higher education.

SALT: Law Schools and Affirmative Action

24. You are going to be on Social Security one day. Social Security is not likely to exist much longer, under the Bush Administration. He wants to put the money into the stock market instead. Meaning your entire future retirment fund could be left in a game of capitalist chance and lost.

Protect Social Security resolution of the Labor Party

25. You think people who are not billionaires should be able to become President someday. Or people who are not white, affluent, Christian, heterosexual men should be able to be President some day. Or you just think corporations should not be able to control elections and the federal government's policies. That means we need campaign finance reform. There will be no campaign finance reform that ever benefits the American people under the Bush administration.

26. You don't plan on moving to Mars. So you might not understand the ridiculous amount of money being wasted to explore Mars by NASA, under the Bush administration, while this nation has a DEBT of trillions of dollars, and no federal healthcare system for all people.

28. You think there is no reason to take away humanitarian aid to countries that need it simply because the agencies helping those people might provide some education on birth control. Republicans have repeatedly used that very excuse to take funding away from humanitarian organizations that desperately need and deserve funding. Also, women have a right to be educated about their own bodies.

29. Bush went AWOL from the National Guard in the 1970's and he is still lying about it today, pretending like he served his country. Funny thing is, nobody ever saw him there, and the administration cannot even produce someone who will say they did.
