Sick Chicks and Twisted Sisters a sister site to this one, feminist resource site by and for women and girls with disabilities was started by myself and a few friends, based, originally on an idea a friend of mine had for a group for disabled women with this name. The group no longer exists, except as an email list, but the website has been recently updated with more writing submitted by a diverse variety of women with disabilities online. This site has a page of general disaibility advocacy resources, a crisis help page, a mental health and psychiatric disabilities resources page, a page of resources on chronic immunological and neurological diseases (including CFIDS, FMS, MCS, and dysautonomia), a page of recommended books for women with disabilities, as well as poetry, rants, essays, and a little bit of research by women with disabilities on a number of different topics. Pay this site a visit, and if you like it feel free to copy the banner to link from your site. You can copy it there or here on this banner page. The email list Sick Chicks and Twisted Sisters, is now operated by other people who do not work on the website.
Fighterchick.Org is a site I came across recently that reminded me a bit of the sick chicks and twisted sisters site. It is another feminist site for women and girls dealing with physical challenges and disabilities with a large number of resources linked.
DAWN: DisAbled Women's Network of Canada is an excellent advocacy organization with an email list, and an extremely comprehensive web site full of some of valuable resources for disabled women, inluding a comprehensive set of links for disabled women better than any I have found online anywhere else. This is a great resource for disabled women everywhere on many issues related to living with a disability. This is the website of DAWN - Ontario, although there are a number of other DAWN branches throughout Canada.
Women with Disabilities from the National Women's Health Information Center has a huge collection of links and information for disabled women, particularly for American women. Such topics as financial assistance, sexuality, discrimination, abuse, disability related conditions, and others have entire pages here. I highly recommend this site for disabled women.
The Gimp Girl Community hosts four email groups for women with disabilities, specifically for queer women with disabiliites, and has some helpful info on their site for all disabled women. The email groups are for disabled women who are also lesbian, bisexual or transgendered.
Disabled Women on the Web has social history, body image information, and other resources for disabled women, including information on the upcoming Disablity Queer conference in 2004. This site was founded by a long-time advocate for the rights of women with disabilities, Corbette O'Toole

Deaf Survivors of Sexual Abuse: A Look at the Issues is an article on an important topic, as women with disabilities, including deaf women are abused more often and are more likely to be victims of abuse and sexual assault, than non-disabled women, in a world where violence against women is already an epidemic.
MINCAVA: Abuse and Disabilities a page of articles and a couple of websites, linked in the MINCAVA violence database, at the University of Minnessota, all links on this page are related to people with disabilities
